12.4 introduces new tools to support large satellite constellations, the ability to move 3D models from a CAD package into STK, new Fast Lambert profiles to quickly design spacecraft transfer orbits, support for 4K monitors, and more!

And, we've simplified the product licenses associated with STK. Now all you need to decide is if your needs are air-based, space-based, or multidomain. Whether you choose STK Pro, STK Premium (Air), STK Premium (Space), or STK Enterprise, you'll get a wide range of capabilities that address your design and analysis goals.

Features

Large Constellation

STK 12.4 adds the Satellite Collection object for modeling large constellations. You can use a satellite collection to represent an entire constellation of satellites (we’ve tested 450,000!) as a single object in STK to provide basic visualization, a minimal memory footprint, and efficient save and load operations.

Enhanced State Transition Matrix Access

In STK 12.4, it’s easier than ever to directly access the state transition matrix (STM) from trajectories propagated within the Astrogator capability. This release also introduces mechanisms to reinitialize the STM on a per-segment basis.

MODTRAN Fully Integrated with LaserComm

With STK 12.4, if you have Spectral Sciences Inc.'s MODTRAN 6 code pre-installed on your host, you can now use MODTRAN as an atmospheric loss model.

RPO Capabilities

STK 12.4 once again raises the bar for modeling rendezvous and proximity operations (RPO). This release adds new curvilinear calculation objects that you can use to compute quantities that are more naturally consistent with a given orbit than previously possible in STK.

Fast Lambert Profiles

STK 12.4 expands the Astrogator capability with two new search profiles to compute solutions to Lambert arcs. You can use these profiles to compute the best Lambert arc to transfer between two orbits.

4K

STK now supports 4K monitors.

Ansys Discovery/SpaceClaim

STK 12.4 includes a plugin to Ansys Discovery and Ansys SpaceClaim that provides a seamless method for converting detailed CAD models into the glTF format preferred for STK. You can even imbue these converted models with additional features such as sensor attachment points, steerable elements, and articulations.

FMI/FMU

STK 12.4 introduces a plugin that enables you to integrate with Ansys physics solvers through FMUs, so you can create a mission simulation that accounts for dynamical characteristics of mechanical, electronic, and fluids subsystems.
