When there’s something strange in your low earth orbit, who ya gonna call?

Since the Space and Defense Software Expo was my first AGI-hosted gig, I had a lot to learn before diving in. However, it’s safe to say that I absorbed the most by going to every single stop on our coast-to-coast road trip. With over 400 attendees in total and hitting key aerospace and defense areas like Colorado Springs, Los Angeles, and Washington D.C., how could I not? Listening to our customers talk about their complex challenges and then hearing our experts discuss how they use our software to help solve them was very informative and, of course, exciting!

We were thrilled that most attendees sought out important conversations on issues like:

  • Multi-domain operations
  • Training, testing, simulation, and planning for space exercises
  • Better and faster space situational awareness

This led to one of our experts, Dr. Jim Woodburn, to really drive home his presentations on preparing flight dynamics teams for missions and multi-satellite orbit determination. Look at him in the photo below! He’s ready for any space mission thrown his way.

Other presentations like “Detecting and Processing Through Maneuvers with ODTK” and “Space Threat Assessment”, both given by our favorite off-the-grid Coloradan and space expert Doug Cather, also hit on key themes that our industry faces while also introducing our solutions to the problems.

Let’s not forget all the buzz happening in our TechZone too. This is where attendees got to ask their toughest questions and learn about our existing and new products.

Last, but definitely not least, our hands-on training classes were always full of attendees ready to become STK Grand Masters. STK Fundamentals always takes the cake, but Intro to Astrogator and Satellite Constellation Design were also crowd favorites.

With everything we covered and discussed at the Space and Defense Software Expo, the time flew by! I can’t wait for the next one and to learn even more.
