Flight testing radar systems using real aircraft can cost upward of $100,000 per hour, and the results from one run to the next are not repeatable. Agilent
has combined its SystemVue Electronic System-Level (ESL) design software
with AGI's STK
to evaluate complex radar systems hundreds of times in an hour, using the same or different scenarios for each run and at significantly less cost than a single hour on a flight range.
SystemVue models the radar system, including waveform generation, transmitter and receiver non-ideal behavior and radar post-processing. STK models the flight scenario and the characteristics of the signal path(s) including path loss, doppler, aircraft aspect radar cross section, atmospheric losses, etc. Visit www.agi.com/casestudies
