With the upcoming STK 11.0.1 release, we are introducing some awesome new interoperability between STK and Cesium. The release enables the authoring of CZML content directly out of STK. This provides an off-the-shelf platform to quickly create and disseminate authoritative aerospace content. The created CZML files can then be drag-and-dropped directly into Cesium to be shared with the world.
For those of you who aren't familiar with CZML, it is the language of Cesium. This JSON schema describes time-dynamic 3D scenes and the entities that are contained, such as lines, points, billboards (markers), models, and other graphical primitives. While Cesium has a rich client-side API, CZML allows it to be data-driven so that a generic Cesium viewer can display a rich scene without the need for any custom code.
