Digital mission engineering

The missing link in the digital engineering enterprise

Digital transformation is creating many challenges within aerospace and defense organizations. One model that can be overlooked within the digital engineering enterprise is the mission model: a persistent digital model that can capture the mission objectives while connected to the broader digital ecosystem as mission requirements change.

AGI will be exploring model-based systems engineering and the importance of traceability back to the mission requirements.

Upcoming Events

July 10

Introducing Digital Mission Engineering
Watch video and get resources

Join AGI as we examine the importance of the mission model within the digital engineering enterprise, the role of persistent digital model, and the need for a physics-based digital environment that can:

  • Model and simulate the engineered system and system of systems,
  • Integrate different engineering tools across various organizational boundaries, and
  • Evaluate mission outcomes as mission requirements evolve and change.

July 24

Connecting mission engineering to system models across the life cycle
Watch video and get resources

Join AGI and Phoenix integration as we discuss how to connect engineering and mission analysis to systems models from early trade space analysis through operations and sustainment.  In this webinar, we will show how ModelCenter can connect mission models in STK with engineering simulations in ANSYS and systems models in Cameo Systems Modeler.

Aug. 13

Developing physics-infused descriptive models with STK and SysML tools like Cameo
Watch video and get resources

Join AGI and Phoenix Integration as we discuss how to develop physics-infused descriptive models with STK and SysML tools like Cameo. In this webinar, we will show how descriptive models in SysML tools can take advantage of STK's physics-based modeling and simulation environment using ModelCenter.

Aug. 21

Extending STK mission models with detailed ANSYS engineering simulation to track hypersonic vehicles from space

Watch video and get resources - coming soon!

Join AGI, ANSYS, and Phoenix Integration as we discuss how to extend STK mission models with detailed ANSYS engineering simulation. In this webinar, we will show how to extend STK with ANSYS including:

  • Thermal analysis for spacecraft with STK SOLIS and ANSYS Mechanical
  • Communications analysis with STK comm and ANSYS Electronics
  • Tracking hypersonic vehicles with STK Aviator, STK EOIR, and ANSYS Fluent

We will also show how these models integrate with descriptive models in Cameo using ModelCenter as part of an example digital mission engineering ecosystem.
